Bienvenue! Originally, I am from Rockford, Michigan. During my undergraduate experience at Alma College, I was fortunate enough to travel around the world, studying lizards in Ecuador and monkeys in Nicaragua. Additionally, I spent a semester abroad in Rennes, France through the Council on International Exchange.

After finishing my Bachelor’s degree, I decided my true passion is interacting with students in order to broaden their understanding of the world around them. So, I entered the Graduate Teaching Certificate Program at Grand Valley State University to obtain my teaching certificate in secondary biology and French. I completed my student teaching at Union High School in Grand Rapids during the 2017/2018 school year. Currently, I am in my fourth year of teaching at Rudyard Jr/Sr High School; I teach biology, French and yearbook. I love seeing students gain confidence in their skills and ability to acquire and apply new information, no matter the class.
When I'm not in the classroom, I love to do puzzles, play cards, hike, travel, and spend time with my family.
